I would recommend it to other business leaders who value teamwork as a part of their culture. I think it's a great tool for helping people understand that everyone has good intent, and how to use that good intent to move forward. Even if you have different personalities or different ways of behaving, it shows you that you can all still get along even when you have someone in a group that could disrupt.

Every individual is unique, and every individual contributes differently to the team. If you don't have a universal acceptance of that, if people are rigid and siloed, you lose everything that they could contribute to help grow their position and the company.
There is a sense in which this book is for all of us. But there is another sense in which this book is especially for those who have chosen to provide care as a profession. Proper caring costs. And sometimes that well within us which we draw upon to provide proper care can feel as if it has dried up. Taking a bit of time out with this book and reflecting on some of the messages within its pages, could help to replenish that well.
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - WALL STREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER - USA TODAY BESTSELLER"The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is not only a thought-provoking, discussion-worthy story, the book itself is an object of art."- Elizabeth Egan, The New York TimesFrom British illustrator, artist, and author Charlie Mackesy comes a journey for all ages that explores life's universal lessons, featuring 100 color and black-and-white drawings."What do you want to be when you grow up?" asked the mole."Kind," said the boy.Charlie Mackesy offers inspiration and hope in uncertain times in this beautiful book, following the tale of a curious boy, a greedy mole, a wary fox and a wise horse who find themselves together in sometimes difficult terrain, sharing their greatest fears and biggest discoveries about vulnerability, kindness, hope, friendship and love. The shared adventures and important conversations between the four friends are full of life lessons that have connected with readers of all ages.
"It starts as a feeling," Mackesy replied. "I have lots of close friends who ring me because I'm in sort of lockdown here. But when I hear something said in the conversation, when we're giving each other advice, I think, 'That could work as a drawing.'"
Respectfully-but-sadly my friend, you are completely missing the point of this beautiful labor of love. Jesus himself would have NO problem with this book. He wasn't interested in people quoting Him, as much as he wanted each and every one of us to know 1 thing: "I am a whole, complete, pure and blameless, innocent, worthy, lovable, loved Child of God who does enough, has enough... and *IS* enough." (warts and all, this very second), because while we are not ever perfect "doers" in life, we ARE perfect beings... i.e., we're not human doings, we are human beings. I pray you can see, hear, and feel the beauty, love, joy, and gratitude by listening from the heart, not the head. God bless you.
